At Omegacon I purchased an art doll created by one of the other artists in the artist alley (dertherck) who I became acquainted with and got permission from to make it an original character. Here is that attempt. Name is a placeholder [from cornaceae (dogwood) and canis (canines)]. Its “mane” of leaves blooms when it is happy/healthy.
A doodle to wind down before bed.
A little ACEO I did of Gavril while at the art table last weekend~
Starting from the bottom: It’s been kind of a process, but I’ve been attempting to redesign one of my characters (or basically make an entirely new one) and the top drawing is what I’ve wound up with. I’m really liking it so far.
The very bottom is the original character, the next one up I liked but not quite (plus the color scheme was too close to Archen), middle two was trying out different poses and tweaking things, and the top is the latest. Whew!
I did it guys - I got it printed. If you enjoy my Groth Calendar Birthstones Series, I have “Art Book Desk Planners” for 2015 up for sale now in my Etsy shop.
Each book is 26 pages long and printed on nice glossy paper with a soft cover. I will sign each book individually! Along with the calendar illustrations, I also included other Groth drawings. I only had 3 printed as they are expensive to print, and I won’t be printing them again.
If you enjoyed this series, please check them out!
Although it was super casual this time around, I had a lot of fun cosplaying with my fiancee, Orbit last weekend! : ) I didn’t feel like lugging around my giant gun or coat since I was doing the art table, so I did what Luffy would do and stripped as much as possible, luls. These pics were taken by my friends fedorasaurus (top two), derpytitan (second-to-last), and Adam Howell (bottom). May add more. Whee!
For those of you who may have seen me at Omegacon this weekend…
Thank you for stopping by! : )
I had a lot of fun interacting with everyone, despite my frozen toes.
